Architects – Entry, Mid, Senior – Chicago

About the role

Pappageorge Haymes Partners (PH) is seeking architects at entry, mid, and senior levels to join its growing Chicago office. You will work on a variety of projects—including multifamily residential, adaptive reuse, mixed‑use, hospitality, and master planning—from concept through construction completion while building strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in conceptual design and support all project phases.
• Perform design, planning, occupancy, and layout analyses.
• Develop technical design solutions that meet client and project requirements.
• Apply knowledge of building materials, systems, specifications, codes, details, and construction techniques.
• Coordinate with consultants during schematic design, design development, and construction documentation.
• Conduct construction administration duties, including site observations, observation reports, and responses to RFIs and submittals.
• Assist with marketing efforts and client presentations as needed.
• Mentor less‑experienced architects and provide technical guidance.

Required profile

• Completed a five‑year architecture degree or Master’s in Architecture.
• Licensed architect or on path to licensure.
• Professional experience in multifamily residential projects (preferred).
• Understanding of zoning and building‑code regulations (preferred).
• Strong technical, graphic, and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

Required skills

• BIM modeling experience.
• Knowledge of building codes and zoning regulations.
• Proficiency in technical and graphic architectural documentation.
