Architect III – Technical Leader

About the role

BHDP is seeking an Architect III to act as a technical leader on multiple projects. The role focuses on translating design intent into buildable, coordinated deliverables while ensuring quality, consistency, and compliance with code and life‑safety requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Lead delivery across several projects, maintaining design intent, success criteria, and code strategy through constructible drawings and specifications.
• Identify and resolve complex coordination, constructability, and code issues early, providing creative options and clear trade‑offs.
• Drive QA/QC processes, document decisions, and ensure cross‑discipline coordination to prevent rework.
• Break projects into clear work assignments, monitor progress, and ensure timely, high‑quality output.
• Coach team members through redlines, feedback, and brief check‑ins to improve quality and independence.
• Maintain a rolling look‑ahead, prioritize tasks, and keep deliverables milestone‑ready.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Architecture (or equivalent).
• Strong technical leadership and coordination experience on architectural projects.
• Proven ability to mentor and coach junior staff.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with consultants and internal teams.
