About the role
Montgomery Roth, a division of Shive‑Hattery, is seeking a mid‑level Architect to join its Houston office. The role focuses on gaming and hospitality projects, offering the chance to work across all project phases in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
Key responsibilities
- Participate in design and project management, contributing to design discussions, idea generation, and collaboration.
- Create graphical images, 3D visualizations, and detailed construction documents.
- Design and detail projects using Revit.
- Attend project and client meetings to support business development and contract work.
Required profile
- Minimum 4 years of professional architectural experience, preferably in commercial, hospitality, or residential design.
- Accredited bachelor’s or master’s degree in architecture (or equivalent education and experience).
- Ability to become a registered architect is a plus.
- Strong critical and creative thinking skills with a solid understanding of architectural specifications, international building codes, life‑safety codes, and ADA requirements.
- Self‑motivated, independent problem‑solver with excellent communication abilities.
Required skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit.
- Experience with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
- Competence in Microsoft Office suite.
- Familiarity with Google SketchUp.
