Application Security Intern

About the role

The Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland is seeking an Application Security Intern to support vulnerability ticket entry, daily security monitoring, and security testing of its applications. This 10‑12 week internship provides hands‑on experience in Treasury Services and exposure to development SCRUM meetings.

Key responsibilities

• Enter vulnerability tickets for Application Security concerns.
• Monitor applications daily for potential security issues.
• Shadow experienced team members to learn the Application Security function.
• Participate in security testing activities and learn testing methodologies.
• Attend development SCRUM meetings to understand workflow and collaboration.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Cybersecurity with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
• At least one semester remaining before graduation.
• Strong computer/technical skills and ability to work in a deadline‑driven environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and Access.
• Effective oral and written communication skills and ability to work both independently and in a team.
