About the role

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Team Manager in Medicine, Hematology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine leads a team of APPs delivering comprehensive patient care. This full‑time position involves independent clinical decision‑making, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring high‑quality hematology services.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and document complete physical examinations and comprehensive health histories.
• Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic and therapeutic tests appropriate to patient age and condition.
• Prescribe pharmacologic and non‑pharmacologic treatments within scope of practice.
• Implement interventions to maintain or restore physiologic stability and monitor their effectiveness.
• Facilitate patient transitions across care settings, including admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, making appropriate referrals.
• Provide education and decision‑making support to patients, families, and staff.
• Ensure compliance with university, state, and federal regulations and safeguard institutional assets.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• Valid State of Florida APRN or PA license.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience.
• Strong judgment, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize under pressure.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
