APP Team Manager – Medical Oncology

About the role

The APP Team Manager leads the advanced practice provider (APP) team within the Medical Oncology department, overseeing patient care planning, implementation, coordination, and outcome evaluation. This full‑time position combines clinical leadership with hands‑on team management to ensure high‑quality, safe care for oncology patients.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, lead, and manage the clinical practice, quality, and safety of advanced practice providers.
• Coordinate patient care in collaboration with physicians, care managers, and other interdisciplinary team members.
• Participate in hiring, supervise staff, and conduct performance evaluations.
• Identify and initiate interdisciplinary collaborations to meet team and patient goals.
• Advance practice through research, publications, and presentations at professional meetings.
• Represent the department on hospital, system‑level committees and task forces.
• Analyze and present team‑based care results to senior leaders and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Clinical leadership experience in an oncology or similar medical setting.
• Proven ability to manage and develop advanced practice provider teams.
• Strong collaboration skills with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary staff.
• Commitment to continuous quality improvement and patient safety.
• Experience presenting data and outcomes to senior leadership.
