APP Team Manager – Clinical Leadership Role

About the role

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Team Manager leads an interdisciplinary clinical team at the University of Miami’s Doral UPAC site. This full‑time position oversees patient care planning, implementation, coordination and evaluation, ensuring high‑quality outcomes for a diverse patient panel.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, lead and manage the clinical practice, quality and safety of an interdisciplinary team including APPs, nurses, medical assistants and other staff.
• Coordinate patient care in collaboration with physicians, population managers, care managers and other providers.
• Participate in hiring, supervision and performance evaluation of team members.
• Identify and initiate interdisciplinary collaborations to meet team and patient goals.
• Advance practice through research, publications and participation in professional meetings.
• Represent the department on hospital, system‑level committees and task forces.
• Analyze and present team‑based care results to senior leaders and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven clinical leadership experience in an interdisciplinary healthcare setting.
• Strong ability to manage and oversee a diverse clinical team.
• Experience with hiring, supervision and performance evaluation.
• Commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and evidence‑based practice.
• Effective communication and collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
