About the role
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a Fall 2026 Anti‑Trafficking Community Engagement Intern to support its Florida anti‑trafficking team. This unpaid position will help build and maintain relationships between the community and IRC’s programs in Miami and Tallahassee, securing resources for survivors of trafficking.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with resource development, including community outreach, external communications, event planning, and fundraising activities.
- Maintain accurate, up‑to‑date data across relevant databases in collaboration with the Program Manager and Coordinators.
- Collect and record prospect information from community engagement activities.
- Participate in community events, information sessions, and staff meetings.
- Support compliance with donor match requirements and other assigned duties.
Required profile
- Interest in international affairs, refugee, and immigrant issues.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Creativity, initiative, and enthusiasm for working in a multicultural environment.
- Ability to manage time effectively and log hours on the volunteer dashboard.
