Anesthesia Technician I

About the role

The Anesthesia Technician I provides essential support to anesthesia providers in a fast‑paced hospital environment. You will assist with patient preparation, equipment setup, and troubleshooting to ensure safe and efficient delivery of anesthesia services.

Key responsibilities

• Assist anesthesia providers with patient assessment, monitoring, positioning, and airway management.
• Insert intravenous and other invasive lines as directed.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and clean anesthesia equipment, including laryngoscopes, infusion pumps, warming devices, and specialized monitors.
• Ensure inventory of anesthesia supplies is stocked and organized.
• Prepare operating rooms for cases, including set‑up of IV solutions, tubing, and warming devices.
• Provide peri‑operative technical support during emergent and urgent surgical procedures.
• Assist with draping patients and anticipating needs for invasive monitoring.

Required profile

• Effective communication with patients, families, and multidisciplinary staff.
• Knowledge of health‑care concepts, practices, and aseptic techniques.
• Ability to read, write, and speak conversational English.
• Basic computer proficiency.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• Operation and troubleshooting of clinical anesthesia equipment.
