Android Mobile Software Developer II – Hybrid/Remote

About the role

Redfin is expanding its mobile app to help users find their next home on the go. As an Android Mobile Software Developer II you will design and deliver complex features, ensure app performance, and collaborate closely with product and design teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and ship high‑impact Android features using Kotlin and Java.
• Review code, write documentation, and maintain testable, clean codebases.
• Partner with product managers and designers to translate user needs into technical solutions.
• Promote best practices and stay current with industry trends, including AI‑assisted coding.
• Participate in on‑call rotations to support production stability.

Required profile

• 3+ years of software development experience, with at least 2 years of native Android development.
• Strong foundation in computer science and engineering fundamentals.
• Effective communicator who can collaborate across teams and locations.
• Passion for clean, well‑architected code and continuous improvement.
• Experience running experiments or using experimentation frameworks is a plus.
