About the role
Hinge is looking for an Android Engineer III to join its mobile team and help shape the experience of millions of users worldwide. You will work on new product features, bug fixes, and overall app performance using the latest Android technologies.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, data engineers, backend engineers, and QA specialists to deliver high‑quality features.
- Develop new functionality using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, coroutines, Room, Hilt, and other modern Android tools.
- Diagnose, debug, and resolve issues to maintain app stability and performance.
- Contribute to codebase health by applying best practices, refactoring, and participating in code reviews.
- Engage in agile ceremonies such as stand‑ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Communicate clearly with cross‑functional teams to foster an inclusive environment.
Required profile
- 3–5 years of professional Android development experience.
- Proven track record of publishing at least one app on the Google Play Store.
- Strong understanding of Android architecture, design patterns, and UI/UX principles.
