Analytic Methodologist

About the role

Amentum is seeking an Analytic Methodologist to support a DIA Analytic Innovations Office Advanced Analytics and Product Evaluation contract in Washington, D.C. The role develops analytic strategies to resolve key intelligence questions, works with ambiguous information and helps turn data into structured observations and visualizations.

Key responsibilities

• Work with ambiguous information, deconstruct key questions, suggest methodologies and develop data schemas to structured observations, supporting visualization of applicable data.
• Evaluate existing methods, models and algorithms to improve the accuracy, completeness, objectivity and anticipation of intelligence analysis.
• Identify, retrieve, manipulate, relate and exploit structured data sets from all available sources.
• Use scripts, visual analytic modeling tools and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for repeatable procedures.
• Combine empirical or quantitative methods with data analysis for complex, data-driven intelligence assessments.
• Evaluate the capabilities and limitations of analytic methodologies and develop tradecraft guidance so they meet analytic tradecraft standards.
• Develop strategies to integrate quantitative methods into traditional or qualitative analysis, and pilot new methods where appropriate.

Required profile

• Current U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility (TS/SCI).
• Ability to obtain a polygraph.
• Master's degree and 12 years of experience.
