Analyst, Strategy & Analytics

About the role

Great Minds, a publisher of K-12 math, science and ELA curricula, is looking for an analytically minded, strategically curious Analyst, Strategy & Analytics to join its Strategy and Analytics team. The team partners with enterprise leaders on strategic priorities, using data to inform strategy, evaluate performance and accelerate progress toward goals. The role is remote and full-time.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to understand the issues they want addressed with data, prototypes, discussion and mock-ups.
• Find and integrate the key datasets needed for actionable insights, building expertise in data systems across operational, financial and accounting, customer management and digital platform applications.
• Run analyses across disparate sources with various analytical tools and methods to derive insights.
• Create compelling cases for change through targeted analytics and storytelling tailored for senior leaders.
• Use rapid-cycle hypothesis testing and proofs of concept to build and scale new tools, processes and ways of working.
• Contribute to strategic projects that improve business understanding, operational efficiency and data infrastructure and reporting.

Required profile

• 1+ year of experience in analytics, data science, finance, management consulting or another analytical role.
• Interest in K-12 public education and an understanding of how data drives change from leadership to the classroom.
• Comfort navigating ambiguity and unfamiliar domains, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work across multiple projects and balance competing demands.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Math, Computer Science, Engineering or another quantitative discipline.

Required skills

• SQL and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Understanding of the full data analytics pipeline, including ETL, databases, data models, data mining and segmentation.
• Experience with data from CRM and ERP systems.
• Experience in consulting, transformation or project-based environments.
