Analyst Internship – Summer 2027

About the role

The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City is offering a ten‑week summer internship for aspiring analysts. You will work on real projects that support the Bank’s mission of fostering a healthy regional and national economy while gaining exposure to multiple business lines.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as a consultant to management by completing projects and preparing improvement recommendations.
• Engage with emerging technologies, including artificial‑intelligence tools, to enhance project outcomes.
• Perform quantitative analytical assignments, interpreting data to deliver actionable insights.
• Create written reports and presentations that communicate findings clearly.
• Utilize data‑visualization tools such as Tableau to synthesize large data sets and present results.
• Take ownership of assigned projects and experience the review process by senior leadership.
• Gain exposure to various business lines and develop a broad understanding of Bank operations.

Required profile

• Undergraduate students graduating between May 2027 and May 2028, or current graduate students.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Demonstrated initiative and leadership abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Natural curiosity to identify challenges, analyze trends, and propose solutions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365.
• Ability to submit a resume (including graduation date) and an unofficial transcript; cover letter optional.
