Alcohol Operator – Night Shift (7pm‑7am)

About the role

We are seeking an Alcohol Operator to run distillation, fermentation, and evaporation processes that convert beverage and industrial alcohol waste streams into fuel‑grade ethanol. The position works the overnight 7:00 pm – 7:00 am rotating 3‑2‑2 shift.

Key responsibilities

• Record hourly process readings and adjust liquid and steam levels for optimal operation.
• Monitor wastewater pH, perform basic lab tests on product samples, and log results.
• Use computer‑based process control programs to monitor alcohol processes and make independent, safety‑critical decisions.
• Start, monitor, and shut down the evaporation system safely.
• Maintain a clean, hazard‑free work environment and attend safety meetings.
• Submit work orders for equipment maintenance and connect/disconnect heavy industrial hoses.
• Load and unload tanker trucks, railcars, syrup trucks, totes, barrels, and kegs.
• Carry and distribute chemical bags up to 50 lb and climb ladders or stairs for inspections.

Required profile

• Ability to work overnight rotating shifts and follow strict safety protocols.
• Technical aptitude to learn and maintain a complex chemical process.
• Physical capability to lift 50 lb, handle hoses, and work at heights.
• Independent decision‑making skills for process adjustments.

Required skills

• Process control programming for alcohol production.
• pH testing and basic laboratory sample analysis.
• Operation of industrial evaporation and distillation equipment.
• Heavy‑duty hose connection and disconnection.
