Aisles Online Curbside Runner

About the role

Hy-Vee's Aisles Online program lets customers shop quickly and conveniently, and its Curbside Runners are a key part of making it work smoothly. This role supports the curbside team by transporting orders, keeping them at the right temperature and staging them so customers can pick them up on time. The position is hourly and reports to the Store Director, Store Manager, Assistant Managers and the Aisles Online Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their needs in the store
• Transport totes from the command center to the pickup lane accurately and efficiently
• Place gathered orders in storage at the proper temperature and retrieve them promptly before the customer arrives
• Keep products at the right temperature throughout the fulfillment process
• Gather and stage orders in the holding area for customer pickup
• Complete a variety of tasks as directed by Aisles Online Service Managers and above
• Follow Hy-Vee's dress code, hygiene standards and company guidelines, and pitch in with other tasks and special projects

• Able to identify problems and develop practical solutions in a fast-paced environment
• Organization and efficiency to meet deadlines and support the team
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Required skills

• Comfortable interacting with basic computer systems and mobile device technology, including troubleshooting
• Proficiency with mobile device technology and basic troubleshooting preferred
• Physical ability to stand and walk frequently, perform repetitive standing, walking, reaching and bending, and use sharp knives and blades where applicable

The work is fast-paced and takes place mainly in a retail store, with possible exposure to dust, noise, temperature extremes and moving equipment. Training is provided on safety, and employment is contingent on passing a pre-employment drug screen.
