Airport Vehicle Gate Security Officer

About the role

Allied Universal, a security and facility services company, is hiring an unarmed security officer for its airport vehicle gate access control post in Santa Ana, California. The officer monitors and patrols assigned areas, maintains a visible presence to deter incidents, supports access control and provides customer service to travelers, visitors, employees and government personnel. The position is full time on a swing shift.

Key responsibilities

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees and government personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols and emergency response activities.
• Carry out regular and random unarmed patrols of airport areas, terminals, roadways, parking facilities and perimeters to spot and report unusual activity.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials and report unauthorized access attempts or policy violations.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms and critical situations, following reporting and escalation procedures.
• Document patrol activity, incidents, observations and interactions accurately.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
• Preferred: computer or tablet use, customer service experience, ability to lift more than 20 pounds, access control and badge experience.
• A valid driver's license is required only for driving positions.
• Applicants undergo a background investigation and a drug screen to the extent permitted by law; licensing may be required depending on state and local law.
