Airport Customer Experience Compliance Coordinator

About the role

Join American Airlines as a Compliance Coordinator focused on airport customer experience. Based at Honolulu International Airport, you will help ensure the station complies with all local, federal, and corporate regulations while supporting a safe and efficient travel environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain detailed compliance records and report discrepancies to station leadership or headquarters.
• Investigate irregularities and liaise with regulatory agencies such as FAA, TSA, DOT, and FDA.
• Oversee hazardous materials, dangerous goods, waste handling, and OSHA regulations.
• Conduct internal control reviews, preventative maintenance of GSE and facilities, and compliance reviews for above‑ and below‑wing operations.
• Interact with American Airlines leadership and external regulatory bodies to resolve compliance issues.

Required profile

• High School diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Leadership experience with practical coaching abilities.
• Flexibility to work varying hours and shifts as business needs dictate.
• Customer service experience is a plus.

Required skills

• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
