Airframe Assembly Team Lead – Weekend Shift

About the role

BETA Technologies is seeking an Airframe Assembly Team Lead to manage weekend production of electric aircraft structures. You will guide a team of technicians, ensure compliance with design specifications, and collaborate across engineering, quality and supply functions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop the airframe assembly team, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
• Oversee the assembly process for structural components, meeting quality, safety and production timeline targets.
• Create and maintain SOPs, track KPI performance and drive process optimization.
• Coordinate with engineering, design and QA to resolve technical challenges and improve workflows.
• Manage resources—including materials, equipment and staffing—to achieve production goals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in airframe assembly or manufacturing leadership, preferably aerospace or electric‑vehicle industry.
• Proven ability to lead teams in a fast‑paced environment and apply Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving and organizational skills.

Required skills

• Interpretation of engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Lean Manufacturing and process optimization techniques.
• Experience with composite materials and lightweight structural assembly.
• Familiarity with digital manufacturing tools such as MES and ERP systems.
