Aircraft Worker (Fuels) - Eglin AFB

About the role

Amentum is recruiting an Aircraft Worker (Fuels) for Eglin AFB. The worker repairs, maintains and inspects aircraft structures, systems, components and related equipment under the technical direction of an Aircraft Mechanic, Aircraft Mechanic (Senior) or Lead, and removes and installs aircraft components.

Key responsibilities

• Repair, maintain and inspect aircraft structures, systems, components and related equipment
• Remove and install aircraft components
• Conduct functional tests of repaired components and systems
• Adjust, align and rig aircraft systems; perform aircraft jacking, lifting and towing operations
• Inspect and identify aircraft corrosion for prevention and repair
• Perform crash recovery duties and other assigned tasks in the work center

Required profile

• Qualification as Aircraft Worker and a minimum of three years of experience installing, inspecting, repairing or overhauling aircraft structures, systems and components
• Completion of a basic applicable aircraft maintenance course (high school with math courses desirable)
• Must have held a 2A6X4 (Fuels) Air Force Specialty Code or civilian/sister service equivalent
• Minimum four years of documented experience, preferably within the last ten years, on F-15s and/or F-16s
• Ability to obtain and retain a flight line driver's license
• SECRET clearance required

Required skills

• Knowledge of aircraft systems, maintenance directives, data reporting and technical data
• Knowledge of Air Force supply and deficiency reporting procedures and hazardous waste handling
• Working knowledge of MIS (CAMS/IMDS) and desktop computer operations
• Working knowledge of Air Force supply procedures for ordering and maintaining parts
