Aircraft Logs & Records Clerk (VMG)

About the role

Amentum is hiring an Aircraft Logs & Records Clerk for a VMG position. The role manages and sustains aircraft logbooks, equipment service records, maintenance files, directives and correspondence in line with CNAFINST 4790.2 series, using management information systems and reporting tools.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain aircraft forms and records in the current management information systems
• Draft and submit aircraft/engine management and inventory reporting system reports, and prepare weekly, monthly and yearly reports
• Process readiness documents, run the aircraft configuration status accounting program and monitor weight and balance and inventory data
• Initiate and distribute maintenance forms, assist with the Monthly Maintenance Plan and log support equipment custody, armament equipment and technical directive records
• Provide technical assistance and perform data entry in NALCOMIS/OOMA, FAME, IMDS, CETADS and CEMS
• Keep the work center clean, comply with FOD, hazardous waste and tool control programs, and lift up to 50 lbs

Required profile

• Two years of aviation clerical experience maintaining aircraft logbooks and service records, or equivalent training
• Satisfactory completion of U.S. Armed Forces Logs and Records courses or equivalent, and ability to obtain and keep a Secret clearance (U.S. citizenship required)
• High school diploma or equivalent, valid driver's license, and ability to work all shifts
• Preferred: Navy/FAA logbook experience, knowledge of F/A-18, EA-18G, E-2C, F-16A/B and MH-60S aircraft, 35 wpm typing, Microsoft Office proficiency

• NALCOMIS, OOMA, FAME, IMDS, CETADS, CEMS (highly desired)
• Microsoft Office, Word and Excel
• Licensing: Hazardous Waste Communications, FOD and TCP awareness, ORM, Weight and Balance certified
