Air Traffic Controller – Greenville Tower

About the role

The Air Traffic Controller will ensure the safe, orderly, and expeditious flow of aircraft at the Greenville Tower (VFR airport). Working under the tower manager, the incumbent will independently perform established duties and handle new procedures after training.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate departures and arrivals, assign runways, and manage sequencing to minimize delays.
• Monitor and adjust communications frequencies, navigational aids, and tower radar displays.
• Provide pilots with weather updates, field conditions, and emergency assistance.
• Maintain continuous radio watch and mental picture of traffic within a 5‑mile radius.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience as an Air Traffic Controller.
• Current or previous Control Tower Operator (CTO) Certificate with at least two years facility rating.
• Current Class II Medical Certificate.
• Willingness to undergo DOT/FAA drug and alcohol testing.

Required skills

• Operation of tower radar display and control panels.
• Proficiency in radio frequency and transponder code management.
• Ability to interpret weather reports and provide pilot briefings.
