Air Traffic Controller – Greenville Mississippi Tower

About the role

Provide safe, orderly, and expeditious flow of air traffic at a Visual Flight Rules (VFR) airport tower in Greenville, Mississippi, under the supervision of the tower manager.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate departures and arrivals, ensuring equitable treatment, proper sequencing, and compliance with IFR and VFR separation standards.
• Monitor and manage communications frequencies, navigational aids, and tower radar displays, issuing clearances and instructions to pilots.
• Pre‑plan traffic sequencing within a 5‑mile radius, maintain continuous situational awareness, and respond to weather changes and emergencies.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an Air Traffic Controller.
• Current or previous Control Tower Operator (CTO) Certificate with at least two years of tower facility rating.
• Current Class II Medical Certificate.
• Willingness to undergo DOT/FAA drug and alcohol testing.

Required skills

• Control Tower Operator Certificate (CTO).
• Class II Medical Certificate.
• Proficiency with IFR and VFR traffic separation procedures.
• Experience using tower radar displays and communications equipment.
