AI Research Scientist – Multimodal Foundation Models

About the role

We are seeking an AI Research Scientist to lead the development of multimodal foundational models that fuse diverse sensor data for advanced driver assistance systems and other Bosch AI‑enabled products. The role is based in Sunnyvale and is part of Bosch’s Research and Technology Center North America.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and validate multimodal deep‑learning and time‑series foundation models for data such as acoustic, radar, lidar, image, Wi‑Fi and ultrasound signals.
• Integrate time‑series models with auxiliary modalities (e.g., video, images) to improve contextual understanding.
• Lead research projects that label, predict, classify, cluster and fuse multi‑sensor data for ADAS and broader AI applications.
• Provide expert insights to senior management to shape R&D strategy and investment decisions.
• Collaborate with academic and industry partners and disseminate results at top AI conferences and journals.

Required profile

• Strong research background in artificial intelligence, multimodal deep learning and time‑series analysis.
• Proven ability to lead complex AI projects from concept to validation.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting technical findings to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
