AI Research Engineer – Agentic AI

About the role
The AI Research Engineer – Agentic AI will join Bosch's Vision and Language AI Group in Sunnyvale, focusing on building intelligent systems that combine large language models and 3D computer vision. The role involves creating agentic AI that can plan, reason, act, and collaborate across tools and environments.
Key responsibilities
- Design, build, and evaluate agentic AI systems for single- and multi-agent long‑horizon tasks.
- Develop robust agent harnesses and evaluation frameworks covering testing, regression, trace logging, replayability, and metrics for success, cost, latency, robustness, and safety.
- Implement self‑improving agent loops using reflection, critique, self‑debugging, and iterative optimization driven by execution traces and automated feedback.
- Architect and optimize agent memory systems, including short‑term and long‑term memory, retrieval‑augmented generation, summarization, compression, forgetting policies, and privacy‑aware mechanisms.
Required profile
- Strong research background in artificial intelligence, especially large language models and 3D computer vision.
- Experience designing and evaluating complex AI agents and systems.
- Ability to work in a collaborative, interdisciplinary research environment.
