AI Engineering Systems Lead

About the role

Rootstock is building the core systems that let engineers and AI agents ship production Salesforce code quickly and correctly. You will own and extend autonomous pipelines, guardrails, and tooling that enforce architectural invariants.

Key responsibilities

• Own and evolve autonomous coding pipelines, expanding them to new types and improving reliability.
• Develop and maintain a root‑cause analysis engine and continuous evaluation framework.
• Extend the enforced‑architecture “Constitution” and runtime enforcement across code sessions.
• Build developer tooling such as an in‑memory Apex test runner to promote test‑first development.
• Design and iterate on quality and safety guardrails that block bad edits before they land.

Required profile

• Strong systems thinker who uses type systems, lint rules, and CI tests to eliminate classes of bugs.
• Hands‑on experience with AI‑assisted or agentic development and an understanding of their failure modes.
• Solid programming fundamentals and ability to pick up new languages quickly.
• Passion for building developer tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and observability systems.
