AI Engineering Lead – Director, Commercial Technology & Innovation

About the role

As an AI Engineering Lead and Director within PwC's Advisory practice, you will shape the strategic direction of AI‑driven solutions for clients. You will combine data, algorithms, and software engineering to build scalable AI and Machine Learning platforms that deliver actionable insights and drive business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design and deployment of AI systems to transform raw data into actionable insights.
• Oversee the development of scalable AI and Machine Learning solutions using advanced technologies.
• Identify market gaps and convert opportunities into successful business outcomes.
• Mentor and guide AI engineering teams, fostering innovation and creativity.
• Collaborate with clients to shape the direction of AI‑driven engagements and solutions.
• Promote technological advances that enable people and technology to thrive together.
• Manage complex data analysis and integration to support AI model implementation.
• Utilize programming languages such as Python and Java to enhance AI system capabilities.
• Implement data infrastructure and quality measures to ensure robust AI solutions.
• Encourage systemic thinking and rapid experimentation to solve complex problems creatively.

Required profile

• At least a Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum of 9 years of relevant experience.
• Preferred academic background in Analytics/Data Science, Artificial Intelligence/Robotics, Computer Science/Information Systems, or Engineering.
• Relevant certifications in data engineering, machine learning, or cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, Databricks, Snowflake) are a plus.
• Proven experience leading AI implementation projects with a focus on innovation.
