About the role
Blacksmith Agency is building an AI automation layer across its workflow. As an AI Automation Engineer you will own and ship the internal automation roadmap, turning documented workflows into production systems.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement agentic workflows using LangChain, LangGraph or similar frameworks.
- Integrate Anthropic and OpenAI APIs, including tool use and function calling.
- Develop internal tools that reduce manual hours in design and development processes.
- Create automation pipelines linking WordPress, Figma, Google Workspace and the internal CMS.
- Implement MCP server integrations as part of the broader AI stack.
Required profile
- 2+ years building production software with Python or Node.js.
- Hands‑on experience with LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen or comparable agent frameworks.
- Proven API integration work with OpenAI or Anthropic (function calling, tool use, streaming).
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, webhooks and basic cloud deployment.
- Fluent English for asynchronous written collaboration with a US‑based team.
