Agentic Software Engineer III

About the role

Deloitte's AI & Engineering team is hiring an Agentic Software Engineer III in Atlanta, Georgia, on the GPS Engineering as a Service team. The team transforms technology platforms and helps clients improve financial performance, accelerate digital ventures and grow through innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test and maintain software components for technology modernization initiatives.
• Take part in the software development life cycle, from requirements and design through development, testing and release, using IDEs, version control and delivery tools.
• Use generative AI tools, prompt engineering and AI-assisted delivery workflows to support engineering delivery.
• Validate deliverables against quality, security and compliance requirements and fix defects before release.
• Work with architecture, engineering, testing and documentation teams to document requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria and release information.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree.
• 2+ years of experience in software engineering, software architecture, quality engineering, site reliability engineering or DevOps.
• 2+ years of experience with generative AI tools, prompt engineering or AI-assisted software delivery workflows.
• Experience validating deliverables against quality, security or compliance requirements.
• Able to travel 10-50% on average, depending on clients and sectors served.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Required skills

• Integrated development environments, version control systems and software delivery tools.
• Preferred: computer science, software engineering or related degree; CI/CD pipelines; test automation frameworks; documentation of requirements and user stories.
