Aerospace Medicine Physician (Full-Time)

About the role

Advent Services seeks an experienced Aerospace Medicine Physician to provide subject‑matter expertise for the Analysis of Waiver Risk Evidence (AWARE) team and the Aerospace Medicine Waiver Division. The position is based on‑site at Wright Patterson AFB, Ohio, with a standard Monday‑Friday schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Provide aerospace medicine expertise to support waiver risk analysis and operational health initiatives.
• Analyze medical, readiness, and operational data to inform research studies and evidence‑based decisions.
• Review and evaluate medical records to validate findings, develop hypotheses, and assess relationships between accession conditions, disease progression, career outcomes, and readiness.
• Serve as the primary medical SME for USAFSAM leadership, DoD organizations, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Maintain familiarity with Air Force medical information systems and related processes.

Required profile

• MD or DO degree with 5–10 years of professional experience.
• Residency training in Aerospace Medicine (or related specialties such as Occupational or Preventive Medicine).
• ABMS Board Certified with successful completion of a DoD‑approved Aerospace Medicine Primary Course.
• Experience delivering preventive, occupational, and population health services.
• Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to sign a Non‑Disclosure Agreement prior to start.

Required skills

• Proficiency with U.S. Air Force medical information systems: AHLTA, MHS GENESIS, ASIMS, ADS, AIMWTS, PEPP.
