About the role
The University of Miami seeks an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to join the inpatient General and Transplant Hepatology consult service at Jackson Memorial Hospital. The APRN will assess patients, collaborate with physicians, and support clinical research.
Key responsibilities
- Perform consults, daily follow‑up progress notes, and comprehensive patient assessments.
- Collaborate with physicians to develop and adjust treatment plans.
- Write prescriptions, order labs, and order diagnostic studies according to practice protocols.
- Initiate and coordinate clinical research protocols with research staff.
- Provide medical support to staff, triage patients, and document care accurately.
- Participate in quality assurance, peer review, and education activities.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in Advanced Registered Nursing.
- Current Florida licensure as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner.
- Credentialed by the Hospital Medical Board.
- Minimum of one year relevant experience.
