Advanced Practice Registered Nurse – Vascular Surgery (Full-Time)

About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Surgery, Vascular is seeking a full‑time Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to examine, treat, and manage patients independently and in collaboration with other health‑care professionals. The role includes disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, recovery support, medication prescribing, and ordering diagnostic tests.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and document complete physical examinations and comprehensive health histories.
• Order and interpret age‑appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic tests.
• Prescribe pharmacologic and non‑pharmacologic treatment modalities.
• Implement interventions to maintain or regain physiologic stability.
• Monitor effectiveness of interventions and facilitate patient transitions between care settings.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members and make appropriate referrals.
• Provide education tools to support staff, patient, and family decision‑making.

Required profile

• Master's degree in a relevant field.
• Valid State of Florida APRN license.
• ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Minimum two years of relevant experience.
