Advanced Practice Registered Nurse – Neurology & Headache (Full‑Time)

About the role

The University of Miami seeks an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to provide comprehensive neurological and headache care. The APRN will work autonomously and collaboratively to diagnose, treat, and manage patients across the lifespan.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct complete physical examinations and comprehensive health histories.
• Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic and therapeutic tests appropriate to patient age and condition.
• Prescribe pharmacologic and non‑pharmacologic treatment modalities.
• Implement interventions to maintain or restore physiologic stability.
• Facilitate patient transitions, including admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and make appropriate referrals.
• Provide education and decision‑making support to patients, families, and staff.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Nursing.
• Valid State of Florida APRN license.
• Certification as an Adult‑Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (AGNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) from ANCC or AANPCB.
• Prior clinical experience, preferably in neurology or pediatric settings.
