Advanced Practice Registered Nurse – Medicine, Transplant & Cellular Therapy

About the role

The University of Miami's Department of Medicine, Transplant and Cellular Therapy seeks a full‑time Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to deliver comprehensive medical care to a diverse patient population. The APRN works both independently and collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal diagnosis, treatment, and recovery.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and document complete physical examinations and comprehensive health histories.
• Order and interpret age‑appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic tests.
• Prescribe pharmacologic and non‑pharmacologic treatments.
• Implement interventions to maintain or restore physiologic stability.
• Monitor effectiveness of interventions and adjust care plans as needed.
• Facilitate patient transitions across care settings, including admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members and make appropriate referrals.
• Provide education and decision‑making support to patients, families, and staff.

Required profile

• Master of Science in Nursing.
• Florida Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner license.
• ANCC certification in the specialty area.
• Minimum 1‑2 years RN experience in an acute setting; oncology experience preferred.
• CPR/BLS and ACLS certifications.
