Advanced Practice Registered Nurse – Medicine, Cell Therapy (Per Diem)

About the role

The University of Miami seeks an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to provide specialized medical care in the Medicine, Cell Therapy unit on a per‑diem basis. The APRN will work independently and collaboratively to assess, diagnose, treat, and support patients throughout their care journey.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical examinations and health histories for patients of all ages.
• Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic and therapeutic tests based on patient needs.
• Prescribe appropriate pharmacologic and non‑pharmacologic treatments.
• Implement interventions to maintain or restore physiologic stability.
• Monitor effectiveness of interventions and adjust care plans as needed.
• Facilitate patient transitions, including admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and make appropriate referrals.
• Provide education and decision‑making support to patients, families, and staff.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in a relevant nursing or health‑related field.
• Valid State of Florida APRN license.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience.
• Strong judgment, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize under pressure.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
