Advanced Practice Registered Nurse – Hematology (Full‑Time)

About the role

The University of Miami UHealth Department of Hematology is seeking a full‑time Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to deliver comprehensive medical care to a diverse patient population. The incumbent will work autonomously and collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to diagnose, treat, and manage hematologic conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and document complete physical examinations and comprehensive health histories.
• Order, interpret, and act upon diagnostic and therapeutic tests appropriate to patient age and condition.
• Prescribe pharmacologic and non‑pharmacologic treatment modalities.
• Implement interventions to maintain or restore physiologic stability.
• Facilitate patient transitions across care settings, including admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members and make appropriate referrals.
• Provide education and decision‑making support to patients, families, and staff.
• Ensure compliance with facility, state, and federal regulations.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in a relevant nursing field.
• Valid State of Florida APRN license (or PA license).
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience.
• Strong judgment, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize under pressure.
