Advanced Practice Registered Nurse – Full‑Time Morning Shift

About the role

The University of Miami Health System is seeking a full‑time Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to join the UPAC department at U‑Tower. Working Monday‑Friday mornings, the APRN will independently assess, diagnose, and treat a diverse patient population while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive physical examinations and health histories.
• Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic and therapeutic tests appropriate to patient age and condition.
• Prescribe pharmacologic and non‑pharmacologic treatments.
• Implement interventions to maintain or restore physiologic stability.
• Monitor effectiveness of interventions and adjust care plans as needed.
• Facilitate patient transitions across care settings, including admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Collaborate with team members and make appropriate referrals.
• Provide education and decision‑making support to patients, families, and staff.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in a relevant nursing field.
• Minimum 1 year of advanced practice nursing experience.
• Valid Florida APRN license; Adult‑Gerontology Acute Care NP certification preferred.
• Ability to learn new procedures, technologies, and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
