Advanced Practice Registered Nurse – Cardiology (Invasive, Transplant)

About the role

The University of Miami UHealth Department of Cardiology is seeking a full‑time Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to provide comprehensive care for transplant cardiology patients. The role involves independent patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Key responsibilities

• Perform complete physical examinations and detailed health histories.
• Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic and therapeutic tests.
• Prescribe pharmacologic and non‑pharmacologic treatments.
• Implement interventions to maintain physiologic stability and monitor their effectiveness.
• Facilitate patient transitions, including admission, transfer, and discharge.
• Coordinate discharge planning and outpatient follow‑up in collaboration with attending physicians.
• Provide patient education and conduct post‑operative evaluations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members and make appropriate referrals.
• Adhere to university, state, and federal regulations and policies.
