About the role
The University of Miami is seeking an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) to join the Interventional Cardiology team. The APRN will provide direct clinical care to cardiovascular patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings, supporting procedures such as cardiac catheterization, PCI, and structural heart interventions.
Key responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive histories, physical examinations, and consent reviews for cardiac procedures.
- Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic tests including EKGs, labs, and imaging.
- Prescribe medications and adjust therapy post‑procedure.
- Conduct daily rounds, develop care plans, and coordinate discharge planning.
- Educate patients on disease prevention, lifestyle modifications, and post‑procedure care.
- Collaborate with interventional cardiology attendings and multidisciplinary teams.
Required profile
- Current RN license with APRN certification.
- Experience in cardiology, interventional cardiology, or cardiac ICU settings.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong clinical judgment and decision‑making skills.
