Advanced Practice Provider (APRN) – Full Time

About the role

The University of Miami Health System is seeking a full‑time Advanced Practice Provider (APRN) to deliver comprehensive medical care to a diverse patient population in the UPAC department. The incumbent works independently and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high‑quality, patient‑centered care.

Key responsibilities

• Perform and document complete physical examinations and comprehensive health histories.
• Order and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic tests tailored to patient age and condition.
• Prescribe appropriate pharmacologic and non‑pharmacologic treatment modalities.
• Implement interventions to maintain or restore physiologic stability.
• Facilitate patient transitions across care settings, including admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members and make appropriate referrals.
• Provide education tools to support staff, patient, and family decision‑making.

Required profile

• Master's degree in a relevant nursing field.
• At least 1 year of advanced practice nursing experience.
• Valid State of Florida APRN license (Adult‑Gerontology Acute Care NP preferred).
• Demonstrated learning agility, teamwork, technical proficiency, and strong communication skills.
