Advanced Cardiovascular Imaging Specialist (Full-Time)

About the role

The University of Miami Hospital seeks an Advanced Cardiovascular Imaging Specialist to join the Cardiac Imaging team. This full‑time position focuses on delivering high‑quality cardiac CT and MRI services while supporting education and research initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate care for cardiac CT and MRI patients and monitor image quality.
• Develop, maintain, and apply image acquisition and post‑processing protocols in collaboration with physicians and technologists.
• Create and evaluate educational programs related to cardiac imaging.
• Assist research projects aimed at improving cardiac imaging practices.
• Establish partnerships with community and regional healthcare providers to enhance imaging processes.
• Work primarily day shifts with occasional overtime, on‑call, or weekend coverage as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of cardiac tomographic imaging experience.
• Graduate of a two‑year AMA‑approved Radiologic Technology program.
• Current CT and MRI certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong problem‑solving, decision‑making, and communication skills.
• Ability to plan, direct, and evaluate the work of other imaging personnel.
