Adult Education Program Support Specialist

About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking a dedicated individual to support adult education programs at the Marietta Campus. This position ensures the smooth operation of the registration office, maintains accurate student records, and assists instructors and learners throughout the educational process.

Key responsibilities

• Provide secretarial and clerical support for program operations, including mail handling and visitor assistance.
• Enter and maintain student information in LACES and submit BANNER forms.
• Review weekly student data, correct errors, and coordinate with the Data Manager.
• Maintain GED registration records and coordinate graduation ceremonies.
• Manage program supply inventory and place re‑orders as needed.
• Conduct pre‑testing, registration sessions, and assist with post‑testing and test ticket creation.
• Tutor and support individual students during learning activities.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least six months of related administrative or educational support experience.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality of records.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with students, staff, and visitors.
