About the role

The Academic Advisor provides guidance to students enrolled in Chattahoochee Technical College programs, helping them navigate admission requirements, curriculum, and career pathways.

Key responsibilities

• Advise first‑term, returning, and current students on program requirements, prerequisites, and career options.
• Participate in the college’s early alert system and annual advising projects to support student success and retention.
• Collaborate with faculty and staff on registration, orientation, and advising processes.
• Maintain accessibility through email, phone, text, and chat communications.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent experience).
• At least two years of related work experience, preferably in an educational environment.
• Residency in a Chattahoochee Technical College service‑area county.
• Valid Georgia driver’s license.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of academic advising principles and college policies.
• Ability to analyze student information and develop effective solutions.
