About the role

The Academic Advisement Coordinator provides leadership and coordination for student advising services across all campuses of Chattahoochee Technical College. This position ensures that students receive accurate information about academic policies, program requirements, and support resources, contributing to their academic success.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the advising office and create an interactive environment for professional growth of advisors.
• Collaborate with associate deans and faculty to align advising services with program goals.
• Prepare and manage the annual advising budget.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, SACS, and college regulations.
• Coordinate campus‑wide advising activities with other college units.
• Provide direct academic advising to students as needed, especially those not meeting standards.
• Maintain effective relationships with students, faculty, administration, and staff.
