Administrative Specialist III – Culinary Arts & Hospitality Management

About the role

The Administrative Specialist III supports the Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management department at University of Arkansas Pulaski Technical College. This position coordinates daily office activities, prepares reports, and assists in developing administrative policies to ensure smooth departmental operations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate office activities and manage the reception area, answering calls and directing inquiries.
• Research, prepare, and draft special reports, meeting minutes, and correspondence.
• Develop, revise, and recommend administrative policies and procedures as directed.
• Handle general purchasing for office and classroom supplies.
• Manage point‑of‑sale and reservation systems for campus dining services.
• Coordinate department events, meetings, and represent the department at college functions.
• Maintain inventory and organization of instructional materials, office supplies, and equipment.

Required profile

• Experience in office coordination, reception, and clerical support.
• Ability to research, prepare reports, and draft administrative documents.
• Proficiency in handling purchasing duties and managing inventory.
• Experience with point‑of‑sale or reservation system operations.
• Strong organizational skills for event coordination and departmental representation.
