About the role
MoMA is looking for an Administrative Assistant to support the Membership team in delivering a high‑quality customer service experience for museum members. The role involves handling membership communications, renewals and events, ensuring members feel valued and engaged.
Key responsibilities
- Manage remote customer service channels (phone and email) using ZenDesk, categorising and organising member requests for reporting.
- Process membership renewal transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Collaborate with other departments to implement new features that improve the membership experience.
- Maintain professional, warm communication across all channels and stay informed about museum exhibitions, programs and campaigns.
- Ensure the Membership database is up‑to‑date and support lifecycle communications and testing plans.
- Assist in planning and executing onsite and virtual member events.
- Handle special membership category registration and fulfilment.
- Perform additional duties as required to support the team.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- 1–2 years of experience in development, membership, or subscription‑product environments.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal abilities.
- Highly detail‑oriented with strong writing and proofreading skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Interest in modern and contemporary art is a plus.
Required skills
- Experience with ZenDesk.
- Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM systems.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace.
- Use of point‑of‑sale software and mobile devices.

- Annual salary of $55,822.
