About the role
We are seeking a proactive Administrative Assistant to support the daily operations of Stony Brook Internists. This full‑time position works Monday‑Friday, 8:30 AM‑5 PM, and plays a key part in keeping the office organized and efficient.
Key responsibilities
- Schedule meetings, manage calendars, and coordinate appointments.
- Answer and direct phone calls, handle mail, and order office supplies.
- Prepare payment requisitions and maintain confidential files.
- Scan, organize, and distribute documents and meeting materials.
- Coordinate maintenance of office equipment and ensure a productive work environment.
- Assist managers and staff with various administrative tasks as needed.
Required profile
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least three years of administrative or clerical experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
