Adjunct Phlebotomy Instructor (Part‑Time)

About the role

The Georgia State Government, through Atlanta Technical College, seeks a passionate Adjunct Instructor to teach Phlebotomy. This part‑time role involves delivering both lecture and hands‑on lab instruction to develop essential phlebotomy skills in adult learners.

Key responsibilities

• Teach and demonstrate phlebotomy procedures, including venipuncture, capillary puncture, specimen handling, and infection control.
• Deliver engaging lectures and hands‑on lab sessions aligned with the curriculum.
• Assess student performance through exams, skills assessments, and clinical supervision.
• Provide feedback, mentorship, and guidance to support student success.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress.
• Ensure compliance with institutional policies, HIPAA, OSHA, and accreditation standards.

Required profile

• Certificate, diploma or degree in phlebotomy, medical assisting or a related health field.
• Minimum two years of directly related phlebotomy work experience.
• Prior teaching or training experience in phlebotomy or related subjects.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
