Adjunct Lecturer – Windgate Artist in Residence

About the role

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock is seeking a Windgate Artist in Residence to serve as an Adjunct Lecturer for the spring 2027 semester. The resident artist will work within the Windgate Center of Art + Design, creating new artwork and engaging with students and the broader campus community.

Key responsibilities

• Produce original artwork in the provided studio space or shared studios.
• Hold weekly open‑studio hours for student interaction.
• Visit student workspaces and provide feedback.
• Participate in in‑class activities organized by faculty.
• Attend welcome and farewell community receptions.
• Donate one artwork to the UA Little Rock Art Collection.

Required profile

• Professional artist with a portfolio of work.
• Willingness to engage with undergraduate and graduate students.
• Ability to commit to the spring 2027 semester.
