Adjunct Instructor – Welding and Joining Technology

About the role

Join Athens Technical College as an Adjunct Instructor in Welding and Joining Technology. You will deliver night‑class instruction, guide students through hands‑on welding processes, and support the college’s mission to provide high‑quality technical education.

Key responsibilities

• Teach assigned welding courses in accordance with program outcomes and approved syllabi.
• Develop and maintain accurate student records, grades, and course reports.
• Administer and grade examinations, ensuring alignment with TCSG curricular competencies.
• Participate in program meetings, workshops, and required training sessions.
• Evaluate student progress and provide performance appraisals to the program chair.
• Maintain safety and security standards in all training areas.

Required profile

• Completion of Shielded Metal Arc Welding, Gas Metal Arc Welding, and/or Gas Tungsten Arc Welding certificates (TCC) or equivalent credentials.
• At least one year of professional experience in welding and joining technology.
• Credentialed to satisfy accrediting bodies for the courses taught.
• Availability to teach night classes.
